Thanks for responding guys! Don't get me wrong, there were so many staff members that I adored! GREAT people. Trust me, I once worked 8 years in retail and I know people can suck. But, I do not take out my frustrations on anyone so I know what you mean EmmyBear =) Unfortunately one person left a bad taste in my mouth. I am however considering going because my daughter LOVED it, hopefully this experience will be more positive. xo

There should be signs everywhere to show you where everything is ^^ The page with the schedule also tells you what time the convention starts. If I remember correctly, the convention opening ceremony is at 12pm Friday~

hotel is for people who are staying for more than one day and want to stay within (super) comfortable distance from the revenue. it also helps if you want to change costume halfway through or want a private place to rest. but for your situation i dont think a hotel is needed :)
